Job Description:
Job Summary
The Provincial Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction projects across the province. This role includes planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects while ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and engineering principles. The Provincial Engineer will work closely with contractors, provincial authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from design through completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Work with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure they comply with project designs, local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure that construction projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct site inspections to assess project progress, quality, and safety.
- Liaise with provincial authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve project challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for construction projects within the province.
- Prepare regular progress reports and present updates to senior management and government officials.
- Ensure all construction activities are compliant with provincial and national laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate the approval of permits and inspections as required by law.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of site engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Develop and manage construction budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Track expenses and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil or construction engineering roles.
- Experience in managing infrastructure or public works projects is essential.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and projects.
