Job Description:

  • Support implementation of the national HMIS in supported health facilities and community programs.
  • Ensure proper use of HMIS tools, registers, reporting formats, and databases.
  • Provide on-the-job support and guidance to health facility staff and outreach teams on HMIS procedures.
  • Collect, compile, and verify routine health and program data from health facilities and outreach activities.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Enter data into electronic databases (e.g., DHIS2, Excel, or organizational systems) accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized and secure data files, both electronic and hard copy.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and performance issues includes follow up of defaulters and refusal of services.
  • Ensure confidentiality, data protection, and ethical use of health information.

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate from a recognized Medical University, Nursing, Pharmacy or related field.
  • At least 1 years of experience in HMIS field in similar roles in governmental or non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in supervision.
  • Good staff management, planning and organizing skills with strong command of context analysis, security management, networking, and collaboration.
  • Communication skills and strong local language correspondence skills with fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to write logical, clear, and concise reports.

           Expertise in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excel and internet is required.
