Job Description:
Position Summary:
To help Finance manager and collaborators accomplish Finance-related tasks
Essential Responsibilities And Duties:
- Help with checking payment requests for proper documentation and approvals (as per RI policies)
- Ensure proper filing of vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents (both physical and digital)
- Enter financial transactions into RI’s accounting system
- Help maintain orderly and up‑to‑date financial records for audits and donor reviews
- Supporting bank reconciliations
- Support the month-end closing process
- Support the finance team in maintaining compliance checklists
- Help with preparing bank reconciliations
- Verify petty cash transactions and completeness of supporting documents
- Reviewing general ledger entries for accuracy
- Helping reconcile vendor accounts or expense reports
- Help prepare financial documents requested for internal/external audits
- Assist with verifying completeness of procurement and payment files
- Support the finance team in implementing RI’s internal control procedures
- Organizing financial supporting documents
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies
- Gaining hands-on experience with accounting software
- Improving Excel and financial analysis skills
- Understand RI’s financial policies, donor regulations, and procurement standards
Improve practical skills in Excel, financial analysis, and documentation
Job Requirements:
- School graduate student (class 12th) or currently enrolled in a full-time university program (last year student), preferably in Business Administration and finance;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate with, e-mail, Windows, and Microsoft Office.
- Team oriented, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong organization skill
Good knowledge in English, and fluency in the local language Pashto and Dari
