Hindukush Bridge ICT Services Company functioning under a valid License Number (66724) issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry by the name of Hindukush Bridge ICT Services Company the Company has professional and technical staff in various fields such as surveying, analyzing, budget estimation, project management, reporting and documentation, data-related issues.

The Senior Fiber Technician is responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks. This role involves supervising junior technicians, managing complex projects, and ensuring the reliability of high-speed data, voice, and video transmission systems. Senior technicians act as the technical authority in the field, bridging operational execution with engineering design.

Followings will provide the detailed description on what a senior fiber technician will be faced to:

• Installation & Setup
  • Install fiber optic cables, connectors, and related hardware.
  • Perform splicing and termination of fiber lines.
• Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Use OTDR, power meters, and other diagnostic tools to test fiber integrity.
  • Identify and repair faults in fiber networks.
• Maintenance
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of fiber infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Customer Support
  • Provide technical assistance to clients regarding fiber connectivity.
  • Respond to service calls and resolve connectivity issues.
• Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and test results.
  • Update network maps and technical documentation.

Senior Fiber Technicians are expected to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership and project management skills. They not only perform advanced fiber work but also ensure teams deliver projects safely, on time, and to industry standards.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven track record of handling complex fiber projects and supervising junior technicians.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of fiber optic theory, transmission systems, and network design.
• Proficiency with splicing techniques (fusion and mechanical).
• Skilled in using OTDR, power meters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with GIS mapping and CAD tools for network layouts.

Certifications (Preferred)

• FOA (Fiber Optic Association) Senior Technician Certification.
• BICSI Optical Fiber Technician or Design Certification.
• Vendor-specific training (Cisco, Corning, etc.).

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for guiding junior staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage projects, timelines, and resources efficiently.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and extended fieldwork
