جمعیت هلال احمر افغانستان که در سال 1934 تأسیس شد، یک نهاد مستقل و بشردوستانه است که توسط دولت افغانستان به عنوان یک نهادخیریه و بیطرف برای ادارات دولتی به رسمیت شناخته شده است. جمعیت هلال احمر افغانی سره میاشت نقش مهمی در ارائه خدمات رضاکارانه و کمک های بشری ایفاء میکند. بر اساس قانون و اساس نامه جمعیت ملی فعالیت های خویش  را مطابق با اصول هفت گانه خویش  بشردوستی، بی طرفی، استقلالیت، خدمات رضاکارانه، وحدت و جهان شمولیت غیر جانبداری انجام می دهد. از جمله، جمعیت ملی وظیفه دارد به جوامع آسیب دیده کمک کند، سرپناه اضطراری تهیه کند و اقلام امدادی را بین افراد آسیب پذیر توزیع کند. جمعیت هلال احمر از طریق شبکه ای متشکل از 7 زون ساحوی و 34 نمایندگی در ولایات میباشدکه بیش از 20000 کارمند و رضاکار آموزش دیده،با همکاری سازمان های ملی و بین المللی با در سطح کشور برای کاهش الارم بشری در طول دهه‌های گذشته، جمعیت هلال احمر افغانی سره میاشت موفق شده است که بی‌طرفی خویش را حفظ کند و از پذیرشی برخوردار است که تیم‌هایش را قادر می‌سازد تا اقدامات بشردوستانه اصولی را در سراسر خطوط درگیری، از جمله در بخش‌های بزرگی از مناطق تحت کنترل گروه‌های مخالف مسلح، انجام دهند. با حمایت شرکای خود مانند اداره محترم - فدراسیون بین المللی صلیب سرخ (IFRC)، کمیته بین المللی صلیب سرخ (ICRC)  و دیگر شرکای خویش تقویت میگردد

Provide continuous, expert bedside nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients (neonates, infants and children), deliver advanced monitoring and nursing interventions, support family-centered care and escalation to clinical teams, and contribute to training, IPC and ICU quality-improvement activities.

Key responsibilities:

1.      Provide direct bedside critical-care nursing: continuous patient observation, accurate weight-based medication preparation and administration, fluid-balance management, wound/drain care and enteral/parenteral nutrition support.

2.      Monitor and maintain invasive devices and life-support equipment: observe arterial/central lines, chest drains, pacing wires and ventilators; perform shift checks and escalate device or physiological deterioration immediately using SEWS/EWS and unit escalation protocols.

3.      Administer and titrate vasoactive and other critical infusions safely under orders; manage blood products and controlled drugs with required checks, counts and documentation.

4.      Deliver ventilator and airway care: perform airway suctioning, participate in intubation/extubation/re-intubation procedures, support advanced ventilatory strategies and follow ventilator/bundle protocols.

5.      Assist with bedside invasive procedures (line insertion, chest drains) and ensure aseptic technique, post-procedure monitoring and device/implant traceability where applicable.

6.      Complete shift-start equipment and emergency-trolley checks, log results, report faults to Biomedical Engineering and ensure rapid resolution to maintain operational readiness.

7.      Implement and monitor infection-prevention and device-care bundles (VAP/CLABSI prevention), participate in IPC audits and follow through corrective actions.

8.      Provide clear multidisciplinary communication: participate in rounds, ensure timely written and verbal handovers, maintain HMIS/ICU registry documentation in English and support family-centred communication in local languages.

9.      Mentor and orient junior nurses, participate in in-service training and simulation drills, and contribute to M&M, audits and unit quality-improvement projects.

10.  Maintain professional conduct, participate in rostered shifts/on-call duties (nights, weekends, public holidays), adhere to PPE/occupational-health policies and respond to emergency activations as rostered.

• Bachelor degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current nursing licence/registration with the national authority.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred:

·        Post-basic certification in Pediatric Nursing, Critical Care Nursing or ICU nursing.

·        Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS/APLS) certification.

·        Prior experience in pediatric ICU, cardiac ICU or high-dependency units.

Minimum experience

• Minimum 3 years post-qualification critical care nursing experience; at least 2 years’ experience in

ICU, pediatric ICU or cardiac ward preferred.
