جمعیت هلال احمر افغانستان که در سال 1934 تأسیس شد، یک نهاد مستقل و بشردوستانه است که توسط دولت افغانستان به عنوان یک نهادخیریه و بیطرف برای ادارات دولتی به رسمیت شناخته شده است. جمعیت هلال احمر افغانی سره میاشت نقش مهمی در ارائه خدمات رضاکارانه و کمک های بشری ایفاء میکند. بر اساس قانون و اساس نامه جمعیت ملی فعالیت های خویش  را مطابق با اصول هفت گانه خویش  بشردوستی، بی طرفی، استقلالیت، خدمات رضاکارانه، وحدت و جهان شمولیت غیر جانبداری انجام می دهد. از جمله، جمعیت ملی وظیفه دارد به جوامع آسیب دیده کمک کند، سرپناه اضطراری تهیه کند و اقلام امدادی را بین افراد آسیب پذیر توزیع کند. جمعیت هلال احمر از طریق شبکه ای متشکل از 7 زون ساحوی و 34 نمایندگی در ولایات میباشدکه بیش از 20000 کارمند و رضاکار آموزش دیده،با همکاری سازمان های ملی و بین المللی با در سطح کشور برای کاهش الارم بشری در طول دهه‌های گذشته، جمعیت هلال احمر افغانی سره میاشت موفق شده است که بی‌طرفی خویش را حفظ کند و از پذیرشی برخوردار است که تیم‌هایش را قادر می‌سازد تا اقدامات بشردوستانه اصولی را در سراسر خطوط درگیری، از جمله در بخش‌های بزرگی از مناطق تحت کنترل گروه‌های مخالف مسلح، انجام دهند. با حمایت شرکای خود مانند اداره محترم - فدراسیون بین المللی صلیب سرخ (IFRC)، کمیته بین المللی صلیب سرخ (ICRC)  و دیگر شرکای خویش تقویت میگردد

Provide high-quality transthoracic and peri-procedural echocardiography for neonates, children and adults: acquire and archive diagnostic images (TTE/TEE support), maintain echo equipment and probes, support intra-operative and cath-lab imaging, and contribute to QA, training and timely technical reporting.

Key responsibilities:

1.     Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) for neonates, infants, children and adults using appropriate windows, Doppler and measurement protocols and ensure study completeness.

2.     Support transesophageal echo (TEE) workflow in theatre/cath-lab: prepare TEE probe/equipment, assist anaesthesia with probe insertion logistics and hand over probes to CSSD for reprocessing.

3.     Acquire intraoperative and cath-lab echo images on request, capture cine loops/stills for immediate review and archive studies in DICOM/PACS per protocol.

4.     Complete pre-list and portable equipment checks (power/UPS, probe integrity, batteries) and ensure portable machines are charged and ready for ICU/bedside use.

5.     Follow strict probe reprocessing and infection-control protocols, maintain reprocessing logs and coordinate probe cleaning/sterilisation handover with CSSD.

6.     Provide preliminary measurements and technical notes for cardiologist review (do not provide clinical interpretation) and ensure timely transfer of images/reports to cardiology team.

7.     Maintain echo equipment and probes: routine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, QA checks and logging of faults; escalate complex repairs to Biomedical Engineering.

8.     Participate in image-quality audits, peer review and corrective actions; train and supervise junior sonographers and maintain competency records.

9.     Maintain inventory of consumables (gel, probe covers), support procurement specifications for machines/probes, and keep routine QA logs and preventive-maintenance records.

10.  Participate in on-call rota for urgent/STAT echos (nights/weekends), document technical reports in English for HMIS/PACS and communicate clinically in local languages at bedside when required.

Mandatory:

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiac Sonography, Medical Imaging or equivalent.
• Formal credential/certificate in echocardiography or cardiac ultrasound from recognised training.
• Current professional registration/licence.

Preferred:

• Certification from recognized bodies or documented supervised pediatric echo training.
• Additional training in TEE probe care and intraoperative imaging support.
• Familiarity with DICOM/PACS, echo measurement software and basic machine maintenance.

Minimum experience

• Minimum 2 years hands-on echocardiography experience in a clinical hospital setting; 1–2 years’ experience with pediatric cardiac echo preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting intraoperative/cath-lab echo and managing urgent/STAT echo requests.
