Job Description:

  • Develop and implement food safety and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO standards).
  • Monitor food production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments of facilities and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Train staff on food safety practices, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation, reports, and records related to food safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure product integrity.
  • Stay updated on emerging food safety risks, regulations, and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management Systems is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in food safety or quality assurance.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Ability to conduct audits and inspections effectively.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed in food production facilities, warehouses, or field locations.
  • May require travel to different sites for inspections and monitoring.
  • Exposure to food processing environments (temperature variations, machinery, etc.).

Quality Assurance Manager / Program Manager

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Compliance rate with food safety standards
  • Number of non-conformities identified and resolved
  • Audit performance and inspection results
  • Staff training completion and effectiveness
  • Reduction in food safety incidents
