Job Description:
The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring project expenditures, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track project costs and monitor budget utilization for construction and mining projects.
- Process invoices, payments, payroll, and expense claims.
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Ensure timely preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Support implementation of internal financial controls and risk management procedures.
- Monitor procurement and payment approvals according to company policies.
Project & Operational Support
- Support project managers with financial planning and cost analysis.
- Monitor fuel, equipment, and operational expenses for construction and mining activities.
- Assist management in financial decision-making through data analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with procurement, HR, logistics, and operations departments.
