Job Description:
Job Summary
The Field Coordination Officer is responsible for managing field-level coordination and communication activities. The Field Coordination Officer reports to the WDIO SBL Project Officer.
The following are the main responsibilities of the Field Coordination Officer:
- The Field Coordination Officer should work closely with the Project Officer/ Coordinator on all aspects of the project implementation:
- The Field Coordinator Officer will be responsible for supporting the project implementation, “assisting the adolescents to enroll in the program” within the targeted province.
- Coordinate and facilitate the joint supervision and monitoring mission.
- Provide supervision report and follow-up action plan, and feedback. Participate in the monthly action plan process for the project.
- Work with the provincial community mobilizers in the finalization of the monthly action plan of the project.
- Provide proper feedback to the project team during supervision.
- Manage and follow up on supervision work plans
- Actively analyze/ verify project team performance and development.
- Conducting regular supervision visits from target districts in the province.
- Create a linkage of the program with the community.
- Prepare regular supervision and field trip reports
- Participate in educational coordination meetings at the provincial/district and community level
- Undertake training needs assessments for project staff teachers with the assistance of Project Teacher Trainers in the province.
- Develop & organize on-the-job refresher training to address any gaps and build the capacity of individuals and departments targeted by the project.
- Design training for the beneficiaries by the approved proposal of the projects.
- Producing initial reports of the activities and sharing these reports promptly.
- Keep a record of the project by doing the proper data collection and filing it accordingly.
- Coordination with relevant government departments in the province, including the provincial education department, district education departments, and the Department of Economy.
- Keep a record and filing system of the project activities and do the proper data collection.
- Conduct field visits to WDIO-targeted areas.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly result-based progressive reports to the relevant dep.
- Preparing and coordinating daily plans and activities that contribute to the objective of the project.
- On-time reporting of the overall activities being undertaken at the field level.
- Any other tasks assigned by his line manager

- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar positions in Education Programs with national and international NGOs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Educational Management, Teacher Education, School Improvement/School Effectiveness), development studies, social science, and related fields. (Master’s degree is preferred)
- Required Languages – Excellent English, Pashto, and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills,
- Travel – The position will be based in the Provincial center with frequent travels to the districts.
