Job Description:
Job Summary :
The Vaccinator is responsible to manage and administer the vaccines for the targeted age groups of the population including children and pregnant women in targeted areas of the targeted province as per the MoPH guidelines and protocols.
Main responsibilities:

The vaccinator will provide regular report of the vaccination and submit to the provincial stakeholders through proper channel of the organization.

The vaccinator will maintain the EPI supply chain management of the vaccines and develop the micro plan for the vaccination program.

The vaccinator will administer all types of vaccines to target groups including children and women as per the MoPH guidelines at health facility and outreach areas

Will store, handle and maintain vaccines per National EPI protocols.

To maintain the HMIS tools of MoPH while administrating the vaccines to the targeted age groups.

To have good coordination with local communities, CHWs and FHAGs for finding of absent age groups

To do close follow of the dropout age groups.
Job Requirements:
Education :

Completion of Grade 12 (high school)

Certificate of 3 months initial training and 21 days pre-service EPI training (approved certificates required)

Nursing or midwifery qualification is preferred.
Experience / Skills :

At least one year of full-time work experience in immunization activities with NGOs.

Able to prepare, handle, and administer vaccines (oral and injectable).

Good understanding of report writing and documentation.

Ensure safe injection practices and prevent needle-stick injuries.

Able to monitor and maintain vaccine temperatures using thermometers and vaccine carriers.

Able to identify and respond to cold chain breaches.

Able to conduct routine and campaign-based immunization sessions.

Able to educate caregivers and communities on the importance of vaccination.
Languages:
Strong and effective oral and written communication skills in local languages.
