Job Description:

  • Assist in the compilation of weekly transport statistics.
  • Register vehicles and obtain plate numbers and other required documentation.
  • Maintain control over vehicle logbooks and generator logbooks on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Arrange fuel for vehicles and generators, ensure proper record keeping, monitor fuel consumption, and report to the Admin and Logistics Manager accordingly.
  • Compile and submit weekly and monthly fuel consumption reports to the Admin and Logistics Manager.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to drivers.
  • Ensure that all vehicles and generators are in good working condition at all times.
  • Identify needs for drivers and vehicles and report accordingly.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly work rosters for drivers.
  • Maintain records of vehicle and generator maintenance and parts procured.
  • Monitor and maintain the technical condition of vehicles and generator at ghazni health facilities through direct inspection and coordination with the mechanic.
  • Conduct mandatory weekly field visits to Ghazni for inspection of health facilities - BPHS/EPHS project.
  • During site visits, check and verify vehicle and generator logbooks to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor and follow up on generator maintenance, ensuring proper servicing is carried out on time.
  • Track, verify, and report generator fuel consumption on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure proper documentation and control of fuel usage for both vehicles and generators.
  • Assist in internal and external investigation procedures in the event of a vehicle accident or related incidents.

Job Requirements:

  • 12th Grade or Preferably have Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management, preferably in an NGO or health project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle operations, generator systems, and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Experience in maintaining logbooks, fuel records, and preparing transport/fuel consumption reports.
  • Good supervisory skills with the ability to coordinate and manage drivers and field-level staff.
  • Basic understanding of procurement procedures and documentation for vehicle registration and related processes.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) for reporting and data tracking.
  • Ability to conduct field visits in challenging environments and monitor compliance effectively.
  • Good communication skills in Dari/Pashto; basic English reading and reporting ability is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, incident reporting, and basic transport compliance standards.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to field sites (e.g., Ghazni and surrounding areas).
