About Afghan Women Rights Organization (AWRO):

Afghan Women Rights Organization (AWRO) is a national, non-profit, non-political organization working to promote the rights and well-being of Afghan vulnerable populations through initiatives in livelihoods, health, nutrition, education, food security, and other humanitarian responses. AWRO has successfully implemented multiple humanitarian projects across Afghanistan, with a strong focus on community engagement, inclusion, and sustainability.

Job Description:

Health and Nutrition Extender will support the implementation of community-based health and nutrition activities by promoting preventive care, identifying at-risk individuals (especially women and children), and facilitating access to essential services.

TOR:

Health and Nutrition Extenders will perform the following duties under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant and Project Manager, including but not limited to:

• Community mobilization and sensitization
• Conducting Awareness campaigns to communities
• Project Participant selection identification and facilitation
• Helping beneficiaries receive their cash and services
• Assisting with Data collection
• Filing of Project Participant and project documents
• Disseminating information and awareness to the communities and stakeholders
• Promote awareness about vaccination, hygiene, health, and nutrition topics
• Assisting mobile teams with screening, crowd management, and documentation
• Assisting with preparation of treatment cards and registration entries
• Provide training and orientation to communities and beneficiaries
• Support SAM/MAM related activities
• Support Healthcare service delivery
• Conduct community mobilization activities to raise awareness and encourage participation in health and nutrition services.
• Maintain accurate records, beneficiary lists, and documentation of services delivered
• Assist in filing and organizing project documents at the field level
• Any other activities as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Diploma degree in medical, nursing, nutrition, or related field, or high school diploma with additional one year of experience
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Familiarity with health and nutrition topics and guidelines
• Familiarity with respective national health guidelines
• Familiarity with maternal and child health and nutrition
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS
