Job Description:

The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective, safe, and high-quality delivery of child protection case management services for vulnerable children and their families. The role focuses on providing technical oversight, guidance, and support to case workers to ensure that all cases are managed in line with established standards, principles, and procedures. The CM supervisor ensures that the best interests of the child, confidentiality, and “do no harm” principles are consistently applied throughout the case management process.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and support case workers in all steps of the case management process including provision of child protection services.

Ensure all case management activities comply with child protection principles, including best interest of the child, confidentiality, and “do no harm”.

Review, validate, and approve case plans, referrals, and case closures to ensure quality and appropriateness.

Conduct regular case reviews and case conferences, especially for complex or high-risk cases.

Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to case workers to strengthen their capacity and performance.

Prepare and submit regular reports on case management activities, achievements, challenges, and trends.

Establish, strengthen, and maintain functional referral pathways with relevant service providers including health, legal, psychosocial, and education sectors.

Coordinate with government authorities, NGOs, and community-based child protection structures to ensure integrated service delivery.

Support case workers in follow-up of cases when required.

Any other task assigns by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Legal studies/ laws, or a related field.

A Minimum of 5 years of proven experience preferably in child protection, case management and community engagement.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong technical knowledge of child protection and case management processes, including assessment, case planning, referral, and case closure.

Leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise, guide, and motivate case workers.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with children, families, staff, and stakeholders.

Strong coaching and mentoring skills to build the capacity of case workers and improve performance.

Decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially for handling complex and high-risk cases.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Report writing and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, and case management databases).
