Job Description:
The Child Care Center (CCC) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality operation of child care centers, providing a protective and supportive environment for children’s well-being, development, and participation. The role focuses on overseeing daily activities, guiding CCC facilitators, and ensuring that services are delivered in line with child protection standards and organizational guidelines. The supervisor ensures that children have access to structured recreational, psychosocial, and learning activities that promote their emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operation of Child Care Centers to ensure smooth, safe, and child-friendly functioning.
Supervise and support CCC facilitators and staff in planning and delivering structured recreational, psychosocial, and learning activities for children.
Ensure all activities are age-appropriate, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of vulnerable children, including girls and children with disabilities.
Monitor children’s attendance and participation, ensuring equal access and active engagement.
Ensure strict adherence to child safeguarding and protection policies, including prevention of abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
Identify and address protection risks within the center and take appropriate mitigation measures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and protective environment within the Child Care Center.
Conduct regular visits and supervision of CCCs to ensure quality service delivery and continuity of activities.
Provide on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and guidance to CCC staff to strengthen their capacity.
Coordinate with case management teams to identify and refer children in need of specialized services and also support distribution of kits and Refreshment to the children and CCCs.
Engage with parents, caregivers, and community members to promote participation and ownership of the center.
Ensure proper use, management, and maintenance of recreational kits, learning materials, and center equipment.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, activity reports, and incident reporting.
Prepare and submit regular reports on CCC activities, progress, and challenges.

Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, legal studies and Laws, or a related field.
A Minimum of 3 years of proven experience preferably in child protection or humanitarian programs, community-based interventions, and coordination with Community Stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of child protection principles and child safeguarding standards.
Ability to supervise, guide, and support CCC facilitators and staff effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, caregivers, and communities.
Skills in planning and organizing child-friendly, recreational, and psychosocial activities.
Ability to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly environment.
Strong coordination skills to work with case management teams and service providers.
Capacity to engage with communities and promote participation and ownership.
Monitoring and reporting skills, including maintaining attendance and activity records.
Coaching and mentoring skills to build the capacity of CCC staff.
Ability to handle sensitive situations involving children with care and confidentiality.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, reporting tools).
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse and vulnerable groups.
