Job Description:

The CCC Facilitator is responsible for supporting the safe, structured, and inclusive operation of Child Care Centers (CCCs), ensuring the well-being, protection, and development of children. The role focuses on delivering age-appropriate psychosocial, recreational, and learning activities, while creating a protective and child-friendly environment. The facilitator works closely with communities, caregivers, and project staff to promote children’s participation, identify protection concerns, and support referrals in line with child protection standards.

Additionally, the role contributes to strengthening community-based child protection mechanisms and ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe, dignified, and culturally appropriate manner.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate daily activities at the Child Care Center (CCC), ensuring a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly environment for all children.

Plan and conduct age-appropriate recreational, educational, and psychosocial support (PSS) activities.

Ensure active participation of children, including girls, children with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.

Monitor children’s well-being and behavior, identifying any protection concerns or risks.

Provide basic psychosocial support and refer cases to the Case Management team when needed.

Maintain discipline in a positive, non-violent, and child-friendly manner.

Ensure all CCC activities adhere to child safeguarding and protection principles.

Support registration and attendance tracking of children participating in CCC activities.

Engage with parents and caregivers to promote child participation and awareness of child protection issues.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper use of CCC materials and facilities.

Assist in organizing community events, awareness sessions, and child-focused campaigns.

Coordinate closely with CCC Supervisors and other project staff for effective implementation.

Prepare and submit regular reports on activities, attendance, and any incidents or concerns.

Ensure inclusion of life skills, awareness messages, and structured play in daily sessions.

Report any safeguarding concerns immediately following organizational procedures.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, legal studies and Laws, or a related field.

A Minimum of 3 years of proven experience preferably in child protection or humanitarian programs, community-based interventions, and coordination with Community Stakeholders.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication and facilitation skills with children.

Strong teaching and presentation skills.

Basic knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.

Ability to deliver PSS and recreational activities.

Positive discipline and group management skills.

Observation and reporting of child protection concerns.

Good teamwork and coordination skills.

Problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Basic organizational and time management skills.
