About Action Against Hunger:
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was created in France in 1979. ACF has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation fields since 1995. ACF improved access to health and nutrition services for the most vulnerable people, who live in remote areas without a localhealth system. In particular, the country team supported pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under five, who are atgreater risk of malnutrition. Nutrition programs rely on an integrated approach, addressing both primary and underlying causes, inorder to have a lasting impact on nutritional status. The country team worked at community level, in villages and at provincial level,strengthening the public health system. It also worked at national level to ensure reliable information about the nutritional situation reached the wider humanitarian community. Covid-19 prevention was integrated into all interventions and additional responseactivities were implemented, such as the disinfection of health facilities and public places, cash assistance, psychosocial support andthe distribution of hygiene kits to affected populations.
Job Description:
Job Purpose
To transport people and equipment, and to ensure the maintenance of the vehicle under his responsibility
Mission 1: Transport people and equipment under good security conditions
- When transporting ACF employees, respect the country’s traffic rules and follow the logistician’s planning and instructions;
- In case of an accident, immediately get in touch with the closest police station and duly inform the logistics department;
- Follow the instructions of the manufacturer and the ACF rules when using the vehicle;
- Keep all personal documents as well as those of the vehicle with you and check that they are valid.
- Be in possession of all necessary individual documentation (driving licence, passport, order of mission) ACF ID Card COMPULSORY.
Mission 2: Ensure maintenance of the vehicle
- Solve minor technical problems;
- Inform the logistics department of any major repairs to be carried out;
- Carry out daily checks before starting up the motor;
- Keep the vehicle clean;
- Ensure radio communications;
- Note down fuel consumption in the record book in the morning and at the end of the day as well as any information concerning the maintenance of the vehicle;
- Check the security boots.
Mission 3: Prepare departures to the field
- Inspect and prepare the vehicle the day before departure so as to be on time;
- Prepare additional equipment to be brought along according to needs (fuel, stickers, flags, tools, medical kit).

- 5 years proven experience
- Driving License

- Excellent communication skills
- Has a good knowledge and understanding of the Afghanistan driving rules and the context.

- Team-building
- Strong flexibility is required in terms of mobility & working hours.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
