- Introduction to RSDO
Razi Social Development Organization- RSDO is an Afghan NGO founded in April 11, 2008 and registered with Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan. It was established in Herat city but then sat up sub-offices in Ghor, Badghis and Farah provinces by delivering the social development services to vulnerable and marginalized people in the remote communities.
- RSDO’s Background
RSDO firstly initiated the primary activities in 2002 under the name of “Abu Hanifeh Orphan High School”, assisting orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long-lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. Later on, with the financial support of Japan Embassy it has constructed a high school building for the orphan and expanded the activities of orphan with the support of HELP Germany as well. Throughout years of hard working, RSDO slowly developed and now has functioning offices in all west zone provinces of Afghanistan with more than 200 staff.

RSDO’s mandate is delivering the humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable households in the west zone provinces of Afghanistan through the financial support of UN and International Organizations.

Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Child Care Center (CCC) Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Project Manager to whom he/she will report, and this position will contribute to the capacity building, supervision and coordination of the child friendly Space facilitators to ensure high quality services for children through closely engaging functional and active child friendly spaces in targeted locations. These are supervision role and therefore, priority is given to the candidates with high supervision quality but priority is given to the respected provinces.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the functionality of the child care centers and system and oversee delivery of high-quality child protection through supervision of the CCC facilitators.
- Support and guide child care center teams in their day-to-day work ensuring adherence to key child protection and child friendly spaces principles through organizing one-on-one and group meetings with the facilitators.
- Provide guidance to teams on identification of child protection risks and appropriate response through one-to-one guidance or review meetings as needed. Oversee and ensure timely response and follow up of child protection cases at CCCs and coordination with referral teams.
- Conduct regular meetings with facilitators on lessons learned and best practices and provide feedback to the Manager as well as directive technical support to the facilitators.
- Ensure capacity for teams to receive and make referrals with access to service mapping that is updated regularly.
- Represent the organization in RSDO coordination meetings as well as at the field level.
- Take the lead in coordinating meetings on proceeding with CCC issues with RSDO, leading partner and other implementing partners
- Compile monthly report on the number of cases supported in line with the CCC process or steps.
- Support other delegated tasks from the project manager and any other staff.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to RSDO’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:
Experience and mandatory criteria:
- University degree in Social Science (Psychology, Theology, Law, Education, literature, and sociology).
- A total of 4-5 years of progressive experience in the child protection sector, encompassing technical supervision, CCC implementation with INGOs or national NGOs, and oversight of child protection case management.
- Strong knowledge of CPIMS – Trainings attended.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Fluent in national languages, Pashto and Dari.
- Excellent computer skills.
