About TLO:

The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Herat, Ghazni, Farah, Samangan, Balkh, Nangarhar, Maidan wardak and Baghlan and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management.

Job Description:

  • To exercise general control over all activities in stock and stores
  • To ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.
  • To check and receive purchased materials forwarded by the procuring/acquisition team and to arrange for the storage in appropriate places.
  • Specific follow up of items/assets movement of the stock and stores.
  • Receives, stores, and issues of items upon proper procuring or acquisition documents, as signed and approved by relevant authority.
  • Supervises for proper update of documents (bin cards/stock cards and store register book) in accord to the item’s movement.
  • Controls for proper stock & store arrangement after every item’s movement.
  • Monitor’s safety, security, and stock arrangement of all Store & Stock points.
  • Maintain good work standards and controls, ensuring proper stock handling, record keeping and storeroom methods.
  • Check new equipment before signed in, as per PO/Contract and GRN report.
  • Ensure a proper filing system of relevant store & stock records.
  • To update inventory lists for all assets (expendable and nonexpendable) and to tag and record all long-term assets.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, or another related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory role
  • Basic Computer knowledge (MS Excel, inventory software is an advantage)
