Job Description:

Job Summary :

Under the supervision of the Project Officer, the Community Mobilizer supports beneficiary identification, registration, and cash/NFI distribution. The role includes community outreach, record keeping, and ensuring clear communication with beneficiaries while respecting local norms and following a “Do No Harm” approach.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct community outreach to identify vulnerable households eligible for cash/NFI assistance, based on defined selection criteria.

  • Support beneficiary identification, registration, and verification processes in coordination with the project team.

  • Facilitate community meetings and awareness sessions to explain the cash/NFI assistance program, eligibility criteria, and distribution process.

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of cash/NFI distribution activities, including crowd management and beneficiary guidance.

  • Ensure beneficiaries understand their entitlements, distribution procedures, and complaint/feedback mechanisms.

  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, including registration forms, attendance sheets, and distribution lists.

  • Maintain strong coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to support smooth implementation.

  • Ensure respect for community norms, cultural sensitivities, and a “Do No Harm” approach in all activities.

  • Support data collection and timely sharing of information with our relevant staff.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education :

  • Minimum High school graduation, preference will be given to Bachelor

Experience / Skills :

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Tdh as a community mobilizer or Social Worker

  • Able to clearly communicate with communities and explain simple information

  • Comfortable working with local people and supporting meetings

  • Trustworthy in handling beneficiary information and cash/NFI processes

  • Follows instructions and works well with others

  • Able to assist in organizing and managing cash/NFI distribution activities

  • Understands and respects local traditions

  • Treats beneficiaries with respect and avoids causing harm

  • Punctual and responsible

Languages:

Written and verbal fluency in local languages
