Job Description:

Alliance for Medical Advancement, Learning, and Impact (AMALI) is a new program of Morning Star Development (MSD) in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).  The main aim is to provide appropriate continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities for the faculty and health care professionals within the Kabul University of Medical Sciences (KUMS) and the associated MOHE teaching hospitals.  The main goal for the initial 2-year MOU period is to increase capacity for basic and advanced life support training. The AMALI program coordinator will provide administrative and logistical support to the program director (PD) and for all program activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage program finances and financial reports. 
  • Prepare and submit monthly activity reports, 6-month reports for MOE, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date program inventory.
  • Provide both spoken interpretation and written translation services as needed for PD and other expatriate staff or visitors.
  • Coordinate with MOHE staff at KUMS and associated teaching hospitals for formal seminars.
  • Support appointed MOHE staff in developing tracking systems for basic life support training.
  • In addition to the AMALI program, the program coordinator may be called upon to provide administrative support to the MSD Medical Director, as requested.
