Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Motion Graphic Designer is responsible for developing creative visual and multimedia content to support the organization’s communication, branding, fundraising, awareness, and digital engagement objectives.
The role focuses on motion graphics, animation, video production, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling for organizational campaigns, humanitarian projects, donor visibility, and social media platforms.
The position also requires field travel to project locations for visual documentation and content development.
Reports to: Media Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for campaigns, awareness materials, social media content, for organizational communications.
- Produce and edit professional multimedia content including promotional videos, documentaries, short-form videos and campaign materials in line with organizational branding and donor requirements.
- Design creative visual materials including social media posts, banners, brochures, infographics, reports, certificates, presentations, and other communication assets.
- Capture professional photos and video footage of organizational activities, project operations, events, and beneficiary stories for multimedia production and documentation purposes.
- Travel to provincial project sites to document humanitarian activities, field operations, and project impact through visual storytelling.
- Create engaging digital content and support the planning, scheduling, and publishing of multimedia materials across organizational social media platforms.
- Collaborate with program, communication, and field teams to identify content opportunities and ensure timely production of multimedia materials.
- Ensure consistency of organizational branding, visual identity, and donor visibility requirements across all digital and print outputs.
- Organize, maintain, and archive multimedia files, project footage, graphic assets, and design resources in an efficient manner.
- Provide innovative and creative input to strengthen the organization’s visibility, outreach, and digital presence.
- Perform any other multimedia, design, or communication-related tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
Job Requirements:
- High School plus certificate in Media Studies, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in media production, and digital content management, preferably in NGOs/INGOs.
- Strong experience in videography, photography, and field media documentation.
- Proven expertise in Adobe Suite such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After effects, or similar.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning, and platform management.
- Ability to travel frequently to provinces and remote project locations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
