Job Description:
As a Senior Engineer, he will be responsible for overseeing advanced engineering tasks, leading projects, and guiding less experienced engineers. This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to innovate and solve intricate problems. He will play a crucial part in driving the technical excellence and success of our engineering team, Selection/Survey/Design of the complicated projects, checking/reviewing of all sub-project process, joining purchasing of construction items of projects, managing and controlling the field engineers, assessing the skill labor quality. Assist/supporting CRLP team and communities for all assigned tasks.
- Survey & designing of CRLP complicated projects in different construction sectors based on communities’ demand in accordance CRLP-POM & technical manual.
- Develop and enforce engineering best CRLP practices and standards.
- Finding construction materials (Sand, Gravel, Stone, crashed stone, water and etc) stock in local area with unit price estimation for all planned projects.
- Consider and practical implement the ESS and SSG in CRLP projects.
- Checking/reviewing the construction projects (Survey, Design, Drawings and BoQ) for final confirmation of donors and local authorities.
- Ensure designs are environmentally sustainable and culturally appropriate.
- Make sure the project’s rehabilitation of small-scale economically productive infrastructures is running in good quality construction.
- Cross checking of Skilled/unskilled laborers for project construction and rehabilitation at community level with listed laborers (Official CRLP Forms).
- Having close cooperation/coordination with field engineers, social organizers, CRGs and local authorities.
- Monitoring/supervising the quality of the projects at field level.
- Monitor all projects’ work progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conducting basic technical construction training for skilled labors in field practical.
- Having close contact with DACAAR/Lead Engineer for technical consultation.
- Having strong teamwork and technical share information skills with other field engineers and SOs.
- Make sure there is not any technical problematic issue in construction projects and inform lead engineers in case any technical issue happens.
- Regular visit from projects and provide technical advice for all field engineers and other projects staff.
- Participate in provincial level in technical training, workshop, technical evaluation and take an active part which is being planned on behalf of donors, DACAAR and local authorities.
- Able to collect data by GPS, level machine, theodolite machine and other survey instruments for designing selected projects.
- Share social and economic concerns of the project with the lead engineer, provincial manager and package manager.
- Make inform the district manager of any case of misuse, corruption and other problematic cases in CRGs/Villages level.
- Report on (daily, weekly, monthly) to provincial manager and in case of necessary to lead engineer and package manager.
- The holder of this position must strictly follow the organization’s existing security policies, procedures and daily instructions of the safety personnel.
- Any other official duties given by the line manager and authorities.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (master’s degree is preferred)
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the relevant field

Proven ability to provide technical guidance and support to District Manager and field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Extensive experience in supervising and overseeing construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with approved designs and technical guidelines.
Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality control, and site management practices.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering tasks while ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Strong reporting and documentation skills, with clear verbal and written technical communication to support effective guidance and coordination
Languages: Oral and written fluency in (English, Dari, Pashto)
