Job Description:

  • Lead, manage, and oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and minotor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • condduct financiual analysis to indentify trends, bariances and opertunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with donor regulations and organizational standards.
  • analyze and forecast financial performance against budgets and long term straties.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts, and ensure adequate liquidity for Project and Program operations.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, and approved in accordance with internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and ensure proper budgetary control and monitoring.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external financial audits.
  • Manage grant financial reporting and ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, donor, and government regulations, including tax laws and labor laws.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and keep training whitin the finance department.
  • Promote accountability and transparency in all financial and administrative functions.
  • Oversee administrative operations including procurement, logistics, fleet management, and office management.
  • Supervise procurement processes to ensure transparency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with policies.
  • Ensure that administrative and financial systems support effective program delivery.
  • Lead risk management and ensure internal control mechanisms are in place and functioning.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and financial plans.
  • Ensure proper financial documentation and record keeping.
  • Review and approve payment vouchers, financial reports, and expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational financial policies.
  • Supervise payroll preparation and salary payments for staff.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits.
  • Any other task assgined by the line supervsior

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in UN funded projects.
  • Master's degree in Finance or Accounting with 6-8 years of experience.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CA) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management software (QuickBooks, SAP, ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
