Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh) is a Swiss child welfare foundation, providing assistance and protection to vulnerable population worldwide. Tdh has been working in Afghanistan since 1995 and carry out projects related to Child Protection, Access to Justice, Mother and Child Health and Livelihood Programs in Kabul & Nangarhar provinces.
Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Officer, the Data Entry Clerk files, cross-checks, and verifies all the documents necessary for entering the delegation's information. S/he records data on the computer and produces reports according to the agreed formats.
The Data Clerk enters all required information into the database for the project; he/she should have an action plan to enter all required information for the project promptly.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Enter the project data in an Access or Excel database (questionnaires, attendance lists, follow-up forms, etc.)

Make sure to have regular data entry into the database of the information/forms provided by the social workers and animators

Liaise with MEAL Manager in Kabul for technical and thematic support when needed.

Ensure veracity and confidentiality of all information of beneficiaries for the project through liaising with the Line manager, social workers, animators, and other relevant staff.

Follow up on trainings and workshops in Jalalabad and Kabul as deemed necessary

Record all population and beneficiaries in the project locations

Weekly plan and reports are duly prepared and shared with the line manager for better work coordination between working locations.

Provide and facilitate information and communication in the team and the delegation

Draw up the work schedule for his/herself

Participate in the team's tasks and responsibilities

Regularly exchange information with his/her manager

Participate in regular meetings with the teams and within the delegation

Help his/her direct supervisor in setting up the activities schedule every week

Perform any other identical duty as assigned by the line supervisor

Conduct field visits with the consent of the line manager when necessary

Monthly and weekly activity plans are shared with the line manager.

Participate in the beneficiary selection for MPCA, NFI, etc.

Provide monthly and weekly reports about activities and achievements to the line manager.
Child Protection
- Child Protection: Use observation skills to detect any behavioural changes or specific vulnerability in children that may be the reason for concern and share these observations with the immediate supervisor and the social workers' team at joint weekly staff meetings to determine appropriate responses.
- Ensure that all child protection-related activities are in line with child protection minimum relevant standards, and enhance program/activities based on CPMS.

Safeguarding Policy ( Global Code of Conduct)
- Global Code of Conduct ( GCC ) Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP), Policy on the Protection from sexual exploitation and Abuse ( PSEA ), Directive on staff misconduct at Workplace and GBV, Operational Risk Management: Undertake to adhere to the Terre des Hommes safeguarding policy and the principles connected to children's rights
- Undertake to ensure the best possible practical implementation of the safeguarding policy (Global Code of Conduct) and the management of operational risks in his/her area of intervention and within his/her team.
- Ensure all volunteers and visitors sign/understand the Tdh Global code of conduct at a glance and my commitment to child safeguarding.
- Safety & Security
- Conduct field visits with the consent of the line manager, who checks the security of the area beforehand.
- Report instantly if you observe any security threat, hear any report of any suspicion, rumours about the safety of the staff and its beneficiaries
- Strictly follow Tdh security policy and regional security plan.
- Ensure and facilitate prompt sharing of information and action on all events relating to security issues
Job Requirements:

- University Degree preferably in computer science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data entry with international organizations in health, nutrition, and CP projects.
- Excellent writing and speaking in both national languages, and very good skills in the English language.
- Strongly able to use MS Office with advanced use of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of project cycle management, and knowledge of concepts, processes, and tools.
- Excellent typing skills in both English, Dari, and Pashto languages.
- Good at using internet browsers.
- Experience in using the Kobo toolbox for data entry.
- Able to travel to the remote district of Kunar province
