Engagement and Communication Training in Kandahar Province
ACBAR is always committed to strengthening and developing the capacities of its member NGOs, both national and international. As part of this commitment, ACBAR regularly organizes capacity development trainings at both central and regional levels. These trainings are designed based on member NGOs’ requests and tailored to their specific technical and operational needs, to enhance their effectiveness, sustainability, and program delivery.
In continuation of these efforts, the Advocacy and Engagement Department of ACBAR organized a two-day engagement and communication training for its member NGOs operating in the southern region of Afghanistan (Kandahar province) on October 21–22, 2025.
The training aimed to improve participants’ knowledge and practical skills in engagement and communication, helping them to effectively represent their organizations, strengthen collaboration, and influence policy and decision-making processes.
A total of 29 staff members from national and international NGOs in the southern region took part in the session. The training was highly interactive, combining practical exercises and group discussions that encouraged participants to share experiences and learn from one another. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the training content and facilitation, noting its relevance to their ongoing work and future advocacy initiatives.
ACBAR will continue to support the capacity development of its member NGOs, as ACBAR believes that effective NGOs are key pillars of stronger and more resilient communities across Afghanistan.
