Real change in humanitarian response happens when local organizations are supported to grow and lead

By 31 March, Cohort Two and Three of national NGOs and CSOs graduated under the SHAPE-TPP Programme an important milestone in advancing localization in Afghanistan under the Capacity Building pillar.

Through our Twinning programme, ACBAR worked closely with the national organizations to strengthen their institutional capacity, develop their policies, and enhance their systems helping them operate more effectively and take on stronger roles in humanitarian response. Many have also become AHF members, running projects and connecting with the wider humanitarian network.

This achievement reflects the dedication of the programme teams, who provided mentoring, training, and ongoing support, as well as the generous backing of FCDO, which made this work possible.

While completing this phase, our commitment continues supporting national organizations and ACBAR members to lead, make decisions, and shape the future of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.
