Request For Call for Applications (CFA) for Enhancing Afghan NGOs/ CSOs

Introduction:

Under the World Bank-funded program, UNDP Afghanistan is committed to supporting Afghan NGOs and CSOs by implementing a comprehensive capacity development program that targets a specific range of organizations across all 34 provinces of Afghanistan. The program is designed to enhance the operational and programmatic capacities of selected NGOs/CSOs, enabling them to better support vulnerable communities through interventions that are tailored to the needs of these communities. The program will provide capacity-building needs assessments for 400 eligible organizations. The selection will be based on a set of eligibility criteria that have been established to ensure that participating organizations have the necessary capabilities to deliver effective interventions and support sustainable development across Afghanistan. Through this initiative, UNDP Afghanistan and its partners (MgtWell Consulting Services and Public Affairs Center) aim to foster stronger, more resilient civil society networks that can drive positive change and promote community well-being across the country. MgtWell Consulting Services and Public Affairs Center, in partnership with United Nations Development Programme/World Bank, is inviting eligible and interested NGOs and CSOs to submit applications for a capacity development program in 34 provinces of Afghanistan

The overall objective of the call:

The overarching goal of the program is to bolster the capacities of Afghan NGOs and CSOs to effectively address the critical needs of communities across Afghanistan, in line with the objectives of UNDP. To achieve this, the program will provide targeted, needs-based training interventions that are tailored to the unique requirements of each participating organization. These interventions will be delivered across 8 regions and 34 provinces of Afghanistan, enabling organizations to enhance their capacity and promote sustainable, impactful service delivery. The training program is designed to empower NGOs and CSOs by enhancing their skills and capacities to achieve their missions and goals. It will be conducted in two separate batches to accommodate a total of 400 organizations. The first batch, consisting of 200 organizations, is scheduled for June and July 2023, while the second batch, also comprising 200 organizations, will take place in August and September 2023. Participants can expect a fully-funded, immersive learning experience that covers all essential costs, including: 1. Transportation: Round-trip transportation to the training venue will be provided for all participants. 2. Accommodation: Lodging will be arranged for the duration of the training. 3. Meals: Lunch and refreshments will be served throughout the training sessions. 4. Internet Access: High-speed internet will be made available at the training venue, ensuring connectivity for any online components of the training program. The training curriculum is carefully designed to address the unique needs and challenges faced by NGOs and CSOs. In addition to receiving comprehensive training manuals and handouts, participants will benefit from interactive sessions led by experienced professionals. These sessions will cover a wide range of relevant topics, such as project management, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and communication strategies.
