Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA), invites reliable, well-established, and competent trading companies that are working in the sericulture sector and have proven previous experience, for the procurement of silkworm egg boxes and toolkits for the project beneficiaries in the targeted villages of the Zindajan district of Herat province.

ELIGIBILITY & SPECIAL CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
Due to the delicate nature of this procurement, only those companies are eligible that meet the below-mentioned criteria, and will be selected by the committee:
- The company must have a registration certificate from the government of Afghanistan
- The company owner must be of Afghan nationality
- The company must have previous proven experience in the mentioned field and provide at least one contract of the same nature and scale in Afghanistan during the past 3 years
- Due to the risks of animal diseases, the company must have certification from the animal health department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock for the import and export of silkworm eggs in Afghanistan
- The payments will be made in two installments, 1st installment (50%) after the silkworms are fully resuscitated as guaranteed and the second installment (50%) after the silkworms produce cocoon
- The contracted amount will only be paid to the supplier through bank transfer or bank cheque.
DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
- Copy of the trading company's valid registration license
- Copy of NIDs of the company president and vice-president
- Tax clearance documents
- Active bank account details form in the name of the company
- Company representative introduction letter signed by the president of the company and stamped on the official letterhead of the company (In case the president of the company cannot participate in the tender process)
HOW TO SUBMIT THE QUOTATION
You can get the complete RFQ/Tender documents package from the RAADA office in Herat at the address below:
Add: House#11, Khaja Ali Mowafaq 13 Road, in front of Iran Consulate, Wallayat Street, Herat City, Herat – Afghanistan.
After the bidders receive the RFQ/Tender documents from the RAADA office, they must carefully read the document, their bids must specify all details according to the RFQ/Tender text, then the bids envelope must be sealed with the list of requested documents inside it, then stamped and delivered to RAADA office by putting the sealed envelope in the locked bidding box located inside the RAADA office.
Note: Only companies that have the above-mentioned checklist of documents will be able to receive the RFQ/Tender package.
RFQ/Tender closing date: 14th February 2024 / 4:00 P.M. Afghanistan time.
