BACKGROUND AND PRESENTATION
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is a French humanitarian organization which, after having been present in Afghanistan in 1980 - 2018 and it again re-opened its office in 2021, in response to the worsening security situation, and committing itself to new actions to improve water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in several regions of the country.
OBJECTIVE
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL Afghanistan mission would like to have its group health insurance scheme to cover expenses incurred by its employees under national employment contracts and their dependents as a result of illness, maternity or accident.
SI is particularly committed to the implementation of a responsible healthcare system that ensures its budgetary sustainability and financial equilibrium.
The aim is to ensure a minimum level of healthcare coverage, while avoiding encouraging overuse of the system and excessive pricing practices for certain treatments.
In this context, SI Afghanistan is launching this consultation with a view to taking out a health insurance contract for its employees under national employment contracts and members of their families for the year 2025.
The purpose of the insurance contract resulting from this consultation is to provide direct coverage and/or partial reimbursement of expenses arising from medical and pharmaceutical assistance received by beneficiary members following illness, accident, maternity or surgery.
