Summary of Required Consultancy Services:
LEPCO is seeking on a temporary base a qualified lawyer to represent the organization in a specific legal case involving a vehicle impounded by the Kabul Traffic Police due to alleged falsification chassis number issues. The vehicle is currently held in the Traffic Police's vehicle compound, and the case is under legal proceedings in the Primary Court of the 4th Zone of Kabul, situated inside the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent LEPCO in the legal proceedings of the impounded Hilux vehicle case.
- Participate in all court hearings and judicial sessions related to the case.
- Prepare and submit legal defense statements and necessary objections to the prosecution’s claims.
- Conduct legal analysis, case studies, and review all related documents, especially concerning chassis number documentation and vehicle ownership.
- Coordinate with Traffic Police, relevant prosecution offices, and the court for case follow-up.
- Attempt to secure the timely release of the vehicle through legal means and submit weekly progress reports to LEPCO’s representative
- Collaborate with LEPCO's internal departments to gather necessary vehicle documentation or evidence.
- Ensure adherence to LEPCO policies, Afghanistan’s laws, and advocacy ethics throughout the process.
