Invitation to Bid for WASH Construction Projects

World Vision International is a nongovernmental, non-profit and humanitarian organization that provides Humanitarian services in more than one hundred countries around the world.
This organization has been registered under the registration number (115) in the ministry of economy of Afghanistan that has activities in the far and non-developed areas of Ghor, Badghis, Faryab and Herat Provinces of Afghanistan from for over two decades.
During these two decades, World Vision Afghanistan (WVA) has been addressing needs of children, their families, and their communities in areas such as health and nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), food security and livelihoods, education and child protection.
The organization has been able to support more than 2.8 million Afghans, including 1.3 million children, through its various interventions in 2023.
World Vision International-Afghanistan invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for the implementation of new WASH infrastructure activities under the Disaster Response Alliance (DRA) program.
These activities aim to improve access to clean and sustainable water sources in vulnerable communities across Herat Province.

The work will include the construction of solar-powered and gravity-fed water supply systems at the following locations:

This tender is open to registered vendors with proven expertise in WASH civil construction and electro-mechanical works, including but not limited to:
- Construction of water supply infrastructure (gravity-fed and solar-powered systems)
- Installation and commissioning of solar pumping systems, panels, inverters, and control panels
- Civil works related to borehole drilling, water storage, distribution networks, and sanitation facilities
- Supply and installation of MRRD-recommended electro-mechanical components
Key Details
- The Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents, including BoQs, designs, and Terms of Reference (ToR), will be made available to interested bidders upon request.
- Bidders must be registered, experienced in similar works, and able to mobilize quickly.
- All work must be completed within 90 calendar days from the contract award or site handover date.
- The tendering period will remain open for 14 calendar days from the date of advertisement.
- Bid submission deadline, eligibility criteria, and bid evaluation criteria date will be outlined in the ITB package.

Bidders must clearly indicate the Lot Number(s) they are interested in by completing and submitting the Intent Form provided below no later than May 15, 2025, at 04 :00 PM (local time).

Instructions to Bidders:
Interested bidders who submit the completed Form of Intent will be registered on the WVI-A Online Tendering Platform for this specific event. A formal invitation with a link to the bidding documents will be shared upon successful registration.
Forms of Intent submitted after the specified deadline will not be accepted, and such bidders will not be invited to participate in the tender.
*****All bids must be submitted exclusively through the Provision System (WVI-A E-Tendering platform). Submissions via email or in physical form will not be accepted under any circumstances.
World Vision International-Afghanistan reserves the right to accept or reject any bids, and to annul the bidding process without thereby incurring any liability.
