Request For FARAGIR Project End-line Survey and Impact Evaluation
Afghanaid, in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Concern Worldwide (CWW) and Humanity and Inclusion (HI) implemented the Inclusive Livelihoods Recovery and Community Resilience (Faragir) project. Under this arrangement, Afghanaid implements activities in Ghor and Daykundi provinces, Concern Worldwide in Badakhshan and Takhar provinces, and Welthungerhilfe in Jawzjan and Samangan provinces.
The primary objective of the Faragir Project is to enhance the food security of vulnerable Afghan communities, thereby mitigating the adverse effects of the ongoing humanitarian crisis. This is pursued through initiatives aimed at strengthening livelihoods and income generating opportunities particularly for women and persons with disabilities while improving food production systems, watershed management, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
The action is designed to achieve its overall goal through the following specific objectives:
- To strengthen and expand community-based employment by increasing income-generating opportunities and supporting the growth of micro and small enterprises.
- To enhance food security in rural communities through climate-resilient agricultural production, improved processing capacities, and strengthened watershed and natural resource management.
