Union Aid was established in 1979. It was one of the pioneer organizations serving Afghan refugees in Pakistan by providing regular support in health, nutrition, WASH, education, livelihood, emergency response, environmental protection, and much more, such as:
These programs were implemented with the support of different donors, including UN agencies such as UNHCR, WHO, WFP, UNFPA, and international organizations such as MI, IRC, Care International, Canada Fund, AFV, Otto Benecke Foundation, and many others. Besides, in the 1980s, Union Aid was providing health programs in all provinces of Afghanistan. Currently, Union Aid implements various projects in health, livelihood, education, rehabilitation of basic infrastructures, and humanitarian response projects in more than 13 provinces of Afghanistan.
The purpose of this Pre-Qualification is to securitize the submitted evidence (documents) of potential vendors for Union Aid for Notification of pre-Qualification.
| Description | This Expression of Interest (EOI) for prequalification is launched to initiate an assessment of the technical and other capabilities of companies to supply the below-mentioned categories of goods and services.
A. Construction companies: Installation of incinerators at BHCs, rehabilitation work of BHCs' premises, like work on latrines, rehabilitation of water supply in BHCs, and other small repair and maintenance of BHCs' buildings. B. Supplies of medical items: Medicines, Consumables & medical equipment. C. Services: EQUIPMENT/ vehicles/ Maintenance of office items, equipment such as air conditioning, generators, provision and installation of solar panels repair, Hotel accommodation, Internet Facilities, Renal offices, websites and Audit firms. D. Operations cost: IT equipment, office equipment, furniture and fixtures, Solar system, Office stationeries Toner’s cartridges, printing visibility, Household material, cleaning items, Food and refreshments, heating (Fuel & Gas). E. Relief items: Hygiene kits, infant kits, Wash, NFI, and cleaning equipment, etc. F. Transporters: Rental vehicle companies, Travel agencies, etc.
Upon completion of the prequalification evaluation, Union Aid will include the selected suppliers in a roster of pre-qualified suppliers, and depending on Union Aid best interest and at its discretion, pre-qualified suppliers may be invited to submit bids or quotations in response to upcoming solicitation announcements and request |

| Method of Submission | The documentation must be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited to the address below: House No 01, Street No 2, Dan Nal, Bagh-e-Balah, Kabul, Afghanistan. OR House No.1, Street No.5 of Karte Bakhter, District No 8, Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh, Afghanistan. Expressions of Interest (EOIs) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “UA/REOI/26/0001-Expressions of Interest for the prequalification.” |

| REOI Conditions | This Request for Expression of Interest does not constitute a solicitation. Union Aid is not bonded and reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or subsequent solicitation process. Union Aid also reserves the right to comply with additional conditions when issuing the final solicitation documents. Submitting an EOI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation documents when issued. Invitations to bid or requests for proposals and any subsequent purchase order or contract will be issued in accordance with the rules and procedures of Union Aid POs and agreements.
