AREP is working for women, youths, and children where disability is the top priority among the AREP three targeted groups in three  main  AREP  core  competencies/  technical  expertise, 
a):  EDUCATION  (Formal  and  Informal education, b): CAPACITY BUILDING, Vocational Education Skills Trainings, Awareness Initiatives (Civic Education, Human Rights, Anti-Corruptions,
Access to Justice, Peace Building & Conflict Resolution)  and  other  trainings for aforementioned target groups]  &  c): COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT providing them assistance in multi

Job Summary

Important Notice

This Call for CVs is issued for the purpose of identifying and collecting CVs of qualified candidates for a proposed UNDP-funded project. The position is subject to project approval and funding confirmation. Submission of a CV does not constitute an offer of employment or guarantee of recruitment.

Job Purpose

The Web Developer/Software Consultant will provide technical expertise for the development, customization, maintenance, and improvement of digital platforms, websites, databases, or software solutions required by the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess project requirements and recommend appropriate web/software solutions.
  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain web-based platforms or applications.
  • Support development of digital tools for skills mapping and job matching.
  • Integrate databases and information management components into web solutions.
  • Develop user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
  • Apply appropriate data protection and security measures.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation for developed systems.
  • Train designated AREP staff on system use and basic administration.
  • Provide technical advice on hosting, domain, software, database, and system requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Skills Mapping and Job Matching/MIS Officer.
  • Ensure developed solutions meet agreed technical requirements.
  • Provide technical progress updates and deliverables.
  • Perform other technical duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  •             Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
  •             Minimum five years of relevant experience in web-based platform development, frontend/backend design, database integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  •             Experience in secure, responsive, and low-maintenance systems is required.
  • Good English required.
