Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide safe, professional, and timely transportation for hotel guests, management, and authorized staff, including airport pick-up and drop-off.
- Pick up and drop off guests at the airport according to the approved schedule and ensure a smooth and professional service.
- Remain available and on standby at the hotel between assigned movements.
- Follow all assigned routes, schedules, and transportation instructions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest information, staff movements, travel routes, and other hotel-related information.
- Never discuss the daily travel routes, movements, schedules, or personal details of guests, management, or staff with unauthorized persons.
- Check the vehicle daily, weekly, and monthly, including engine oil, brake fluid, tyre pressure, windshield fluid, lights, battery, and other important items.
- Report any mechanical, technical, or safety problems to the direct supervisor immediately.
- Arrange or carry out minor vehicle maintenance only after receiving approval from the supervisor.
- Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and outside, at all times.
- Ensure all required vehicle equipment is available and in good condition, including spare tyre, tools, jack, belts, ropes, first-aid kit, and other required items.
- Refuel the vehicle when the fuel level reaches approximately one-quarter of the tank, in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Maintain the vehicle logbook and accurately record kilometres, trips, and fuel consumption.
- Submit fuel invoices and related documents to the supervisor as required.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, materials, and other items when required.
- Support the operational arrangement of airport transfers and other official trips.
- Participate in relevant internal meetings and report transportation, vehicle, or logistics issues to the supervisor.
- Report any security or safety concerns immediately to the responsible person.
- Perform other reasonable transportation and support duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Professional Requirements
- Valid driving license.
- Good knowledge of Kabul roads and major locations, including Kabul International Airport and major hotels.
- Previous experience as a professional driver, preferably in a hotel, NGO, embassy, or international organization.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, polite, and respectful behaviour when dealing with guests and staff.
- Good knowledge of vehicle safety and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Punctual, reliable, honest, and well-presented.
Key Priority
The Driver is expected to provide safe, reliable, punctual, and professional transportation service, particularly for airport transfers and hotel guests, while always maintaining complete confidentiality and professional conduct.
Job Requirements
· Valid Afghan driving license is required.
· Minimum 12th-grade education is preferred.
· At least 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with an international NGO, hotel, embassy, or international organization.
· Fluent speaking ability in English, Dari, and Pashto is mandatory.
· Must be able to communicate professionally with hotel guests, management, and staff.
· Good knowledge of Kabul roads, major locations, and Kabul International Airport.
· Must be punctual, reliable, responsible, and committed to assigned duties.
· Must immediately report any accident, emergency, security concern, or vehicle problem to the supervisor.
· Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest information, staff movements, travel schedules, and hotel-related matters.
· Must maintain a professional, polite, and respectful attitude always.
· Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
