Job Summary

We are inviting CVs for the position of Community Forestry / NRM Trainer and Field Technician (Male) to support the forestry and rangeland component of a rural development program in Badakhshan and Kunar. The role will combine field technical work with community capacity building. The technician will deliver training on forestry, rangeland management, and natural resource management practices, and will facilitate multi-stakeholder sessions with community forestry and rangeland committees. As a field technician, the role will support nursery work, planting, pilot restoration sites, and the practical steps needed to keep activities on track. The role will work closely with the forestry specialist, support GPS-tagged evidence of field work, and help communities take ownership of restoration efforts. Practical field skills and strong facilitation ability will be central to this position.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in agriculture, rural development, or a related discipline
  • Ability to deliver capacity-building workshops in forestry and facilitate multi-stakeholder training sessions
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Practical experience in forestry, rangeland, or natural resource management field work, along with training delivery
  • Ability to travel to remote field sites and work under field conditions
  • Local language skills suited to Badakhshan and Kunar
