Job Summary

NIDA is seeking a highly qualified Civil Engineer with strong project management experience to support the implementation of Construction, Rehabilitation, major irrigation and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project planning, supervision, quality assurance, coordination, reporting, and contract management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise construction activities from commencement to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare work plans, progress reports, and implementation schedules.
  • Monitor project quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, local authorities, and community representatives.
  • Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Supervise site engineers, surveyors, and quality control staff.
  • Prepare technical reports and project documentation.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in irrigation systems, canals, protection walls, water reservoirs, roads, bridges, or similar projects.
  • Strong project management and contract administration experience.
  • Experience with UN, NGO, donor-funded, or government infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, project planning, and construction supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and working knowledge of English.
