Job Summary

NIDA is seeking a qualified and experienced Surveyor to support the implementation of upcoming irrigation and civil infrastructure projects.

The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting technical surveys, topographic measurements, site layout, quantity calculations, and construction setting-out activities in accordance with approved engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct topographic and engineering surveys.
  • Establish benchmarks, control points, and project reference points.
  • Carry out setting-out of structures according to approved drawings.
  • Operate Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and other survey equipment.
  • Prepare survey reports, measurements, profiles, and quantity calculations.
  • Coordinate with engineers and construction teams during implementation.
  • Verify dimensions and levels of completed works.
  • Ensure survey records are maintained accurately.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in surveying and construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in irrigation, canal rehabilitation, water supply, protection walls, roads, bridges, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and surveying software.
  • Ability to prepare survey reports and technical documentation.
  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari.
  • Basic English reporting skills preferred.
