Afghan Community and Health Rehabilitation Organization (ACHRO) is a non-political, non for profit, non- governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of GIRoA on April, 08, 2010 under registration # 1658. ACHRO has also been registered or recognized as partner with more than 40 national and International organizations. ACHRO is active Partner of (UNHCR) and (WHH). ACHRO has established and maintains network with civil society, community-based social institutions, and government line ministries in Afghanistan. ACHRO’s core sectors of activities include health, emergency/relief, capacity building, women empowerment, and livelihood and development sectors. ACHRO is currently implementing UN- WOMEN and UNHCR-funded project in the South-East, south and central regions of the country.

Job Description:

• Take care of minor surgeries in term of the dressing of wounds and other cares,
• Distribution of essential medicine prescribed by medical doctor for OPD patients,
• Keep record of medicine,
• Inform the medical doctor of stock out,
• Register and measure weight, height, Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) of children under 5 years of age at the MHNT site and pregnant and lactating women.
• Conduct follow up visits on Bi-weekly basis to assess condition of SAM children and provide ration based on the IMAM guideline.
• Administer Vitamin A if the child has not received Vitamin A supplementation during the previous NID.
• Promote consumption of iodized salt and healthy diet
• Responsible for conducting all other nutrition activities such as Growth monitoring of all 2 year children and screening of children under five and PLWs for acute malnutrition using MUAC or weight\height scale for children in the absence of Nutrition counsellor
• Register and report all activities including the supplies distributed, the number of beneficiaries, the SAM and MAM cases, the date and location of services, and report those on monthly bases,

• Bachelor degree in nursing or other related field
• Post-graduate degree with specialization in nutrition preferred
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
• Previous working experience with local and international NGOs
