About TLO:
The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Herat, Ghazni, Farah, Samangan, Balkh, Nangarhar, Maidan wardak and Baghlan and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management.
Job Description:
- Support the NRM Officer in planning and implementation of planned interventions at the provincial and community levels.
- Support the NRM Officer on coordination of project activities with relevant stakeholders at district and community levels.
- Support the NRM Officer on community consultation, development of new sub-project concept and technical proposals,
- Support the NRM Officer on conducting assessments and studies planned in PREVALE in Paktika province.
- Support the NRM Officer on planning & developing related to NRM project management as per technical requirements.
- Support the NRM Officer on beneficiary selection for NRM subproject in targeted areas
- Support the NRM Officer on relevant technical training, training of trainers, and community on best NRM practices.
- Provide and submit the activity progress report to NRM officer.
- Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
Job Requirements:
- Three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in the related field, and experience in working with communities and Monitoring and evaluations of the NRM projects.
- University degree in NRM or other relevant academic disciplines
- Very good and excellent Pashto and Dari (spoken and written)
- Good skills in MS Office Package and Internet applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with local communities and project teams.
- Punctual and hardworking, desire to meet deadlines and serve rural communities.
- Regular trips to targeted villages and watershed areas.
