Job Description:
Scope of work:
ASLO has an extensive and a good track record in implementation of educational support programs funded by donors in Logar province. ASLO in cooperation will implement education Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in 5 locations of Logar province, namely, Kharwar, Barak-i-Barak, Khushi, Pule Alam, and Mohammad Agha districts of Logar province. This position is responsible in assist in maintaining and updating personnel files and HR records., support the recruitment process (advertising, scheduling, documentation), prepare contracts, letters, and employee onboarding documents, ensure office supplies and stationery are procured and maintained, coordinate staff attendance, leave tracking, and timesheets, support organizing trainings, meetings, and events and maintain proper filing of HR and administrative documents in (CBE) in Logar districts.
The Admin & HR assistant reports to the Provincial Education Manager and Education Officer in Logar Provincial Office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating personnel files and HR records.
- Support the recruitment process (advertising, scheduling, documentation).
- Prepare contracts, letters, and employee onboarding documents.
- Ensure office supplies and stationery are procured and maintained.
- Coordinate staff attendance, leave tracking, and timesheets.
- Support organizing trainings, meetings, and events.
- Maintain proper filing of HR and administrative documents.
- Liaise with service providers for admin-related tasks (e.g., maintenance, transport).
- Coordinate with local education authorities and community leaders as needed.
- Work closely with Education Officers, community mobilizers, and other stakeholders to ensure community engagement and support for education.
- Promote safeguarding, protection, and wellbeing of all children and ensure adherence to child protection and Do No Harm principles.
- Willingness to travel regularly to rural and remote project sites.
- Any other task assigns by the line manager.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant administrative/HR experience.
- Good computer skills, especially in MS Word, Excel, and email systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local labor law is an asset.
- Experience teaching adults might be advantageous.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Patience and resilience.
- A high degree of diplomacy.
- Great conflict resolution skills.
- Good planning skill.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in Dari/Pashto.
- Ability to frequently travel to the target communities in the districts.
