About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):
YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Main Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide medical consultations and treatment for patients in the General OPD/ IPD.
• Conduct clinical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe appropriate treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including history, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals.
• Identify and refer cases requiring specialized care to relevant departments or higher-level facilities.
• Ensure prescription of medicines and support appropriate use of essential drugs.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and families as part of routine consultations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity and integration of care.
• Monitor and report communicable diseases in accordance with MoPH/WHO guidelines and HMIS.
• Participate in clinical meetings, trainings, and internal capacity-building activities.

Submit timely data and reports to the hospital head and YHDO monitoring teams

Qualifications and Experience

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized medical university.
• Valid registration with the Afghanistan Medical Council.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in outpatient services.
• Previous experience in district or provincial hospitals is an asset.

Familiarity with national health protocols and BPHS/EPHS service models is preferred
