About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):
YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to admitted patients in either male or female wards
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the medical team
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and assist with medical procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and charts
• Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) practices strictly
• Ensure proper hygiene, comfort, and safety of all patients
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare staff for treatment planning
• Provide patient and family education regarding care and discharge instructions
• Support emergency interventions when needed
• Participate in regular ward rounds and shift handovers (night duty)

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Valid registration with the Afghanistan Nurses and Midwives Council (ANMC)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting, preferably in inpatient care
• Knowledge of nursing care standards, BPHS/EPHS guidelines, and patient safety protocols
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
