Job Description:
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Clinical Duties:
- Provide high-quality orthopedic surgical care, including pre-operative assessment, operative management, and post-operative follow-up.
- Manage acute and chronic injuries, fractures, dislocations, infections, and other related conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures such as external fixation, open/closed reduction, debridement, and limb preservation techniques, depending on facility capacity.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, general surgeons, and emergency staff for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Ensure proper documentation of medical and surgical procedures in patient records and reporting systems.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) with specialization in Orthopedic Surgery
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in orthopedic surgery, preferably in trauma/emergency or humanitarian settings.
- Experience working in resource-constrained or conflict-affected areas is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with MoPH policies, BPHS/EPHS frameworks, and WHO surgical guidelines is an asset.
