About Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO):
YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Key Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray machines and other diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Capture and process high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all imaging procedures
• Ensure radiation safety measures are implemented and followed at all times
• Regularly inspect and maintain radiology equipment and report faults
• Assist physicians by providing timely and accurate radiologic support
• Observe strict infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
• Store and manage patient records confidentially
• Provide reports/data to the hospital management or HMIS as required

Participate in regular ward rounds and shift handovers (night duty

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Radiology/Imaging Technology from a recognized institute
• At least 2 years of experience as a radiology technician in a clinical setting
• In-depth understanding of radiation safety procedures and patient handling
• Familiarity with BPHS/EPHS radiology service requirements is an advantage
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends when needed

Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari; English is an asset
