The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and is non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is registered with the Ministry of Economy in Kabul, Afghanistan (Registration No: 1014) and is a member of South West Afghanistan and Baluchistan Agency for Coordination (SWABAC), the coordinating body for NGOs in southern Afghanistan. The Managing Director of OHW also formally represents SWABAC in coordination meetings at the national level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver participatory training sessions on poultry farming best practices, focusing on layer chickens and backyard poultry management.
• Create practical and easy-to-understand training materials including manuals, handouts, and visual guides tailored to the literacy level of participants.
• Train beneficiaries on feeding, housing, vaccination, hygiene, disease prevention, and seasonal poultry care practices.
• Provide ongoing technical advice to beneficiaries on proper use of poultry kits and inputs (feed, medicine, shelter).

• Build strong relationships with local communities, beneficiaries, community leaders, and government stakeholders.
• Assist with community mobilization and participant registration prior to training and input distribution.
• Work closely with the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (DAIL) and other relevant actors at district and provincial levels.
• Support coordination with poultry input suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.

• Support the distribution of poultry kits to beneficiaries, ensuring fair and transparent processes.
• Provide hands-on guidance during field visits, troubleshooting poultry health, feeding, housing, and other technical issues.

• Collect regular data on poultry production, productivity, feed usage, vaccination, and disease trends for project monitoring.
• Report disease outbreaks, poultry mortality, or technical issues to the supervisor and recommend appropriate responses.
• Submit accurate and timely field reports and training documentation to the Livelihood Project Manager.

Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the overall success of the project.

Bachelor degree to the relevant field

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Ability to arrange events and provide training

Fluency in spoken Pashto, Dari and English is required
