ACBAR

The Organization of Human Welfare (OHW) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) and is non-political, not-for-profit, and impartial organization with no bias towards a particular religion, ethnicity, or political belief. It has its own independent legal status and entity. OHW is registered with the Ministry of Economy in Kabul, Afghanistan (Registration No: 1014) and is a member of South West Afghanistan and Baluchistan Agency for Coordination (SWABAC), the coordinating body for NGOs in southern Afghanistan. The Managing Director of OHW also formally represents SWABAC in coordination meetings at the national level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mobilize and engage community members and beneficiaries to actively participate in project activities.
• Identify and encourage the participation of returnees and the most vulnerable women in livelihood-related training and support.
• Facilitate individual and group awareness sessions on kitchen gardening and poultry rearing.
• Maintain regular communication with communities to build trust and ensure ongoing engagement.
• Collaborate closely with the Agriculture and Poultry Trainers to plan and organize effective training sessions in target communities.
• Assist in the logistical preparation of training sessions, including venue selection, material preparation, and participant mobilization.
• Act as a liaison between trainers and the community to ensure smooth and culturally sensitive communication.
• Provide support during training sessions to improve delivery and participant understanding.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of kitchen gardening and poultry kits for distribution to selected beneficiaries.
• Support the project team in ensuring fair, transparent, and well-documented distribution processes.
• Help verify beneficiary lists and assist in ensuring that all targeted individuals receive the correct materials.
• Provide post-distribution support by following up with beneficiaries on kit usage and challenges.
• Coordinate with community elders, CDCs, local leaders, and faith leaders to ensure inclusive and effective implementation of activities.
• Help identify the most suitable times and methods for reaching target groups, respecting local customs and practices.
• Collect and document community feedback, success stories, and lessons learned.

Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor to support the successful implementation of the project.

12th class graduated, Bachelor will preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
Fluency in spoken Pashto, Dari and English is required
