Job Description:

  1. Provide outpatient consultations to women, children under five, and other patients presenting with nutrition-related and general health conditions along with referrals to higher facilities.
  2. Diagnose and manage acute malnutrition cases SAM, MAM, and PLW, in line with IMAM program
  3. Maintain accurate medical records and nutrition-related data for all patients seen in OPD.
  4. Support monitoring and evaluation of nutrition-related health services, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  5. Observe the rules of the Health Clinic and be liable to duty.
  6. Collaborate in administering, registering, and treating patients in their respective cases
  7. Providing medical and treatment services for patients and diagnosis and treatment in accordance with national standards in SEC.
  8. Basic Service of Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients (all age) in SEC and outreach.
  9. Screen children and PLWs for SAM&MAM and refer complicated cases to HFs
  10. Provide basic maternity care and referrals to the nearest HFs.
  11. Raise regularly supply request to HEWAD relevant program and ensure securing of the center supplies including therapeutic food and drugs.
  12. Conduct health consultation about personal and environmental hygiene.
  13. Prepare and submit a monthly performance report to the line manager
  14. Monitor the work of midwives and active participation in the process of strengthening them
  15. Professional knowledge to improve the quality of work.
  16. Provide individual health education to patients during examination and diagnosis.
  17. Timely identification of incidents and their recurrence and, if necessary, referral to higher levels of health care services.
  18. Efforts to improve the level of professional knowledge and strengthen their professional skills and obtain national guidelines in the head of health services.
  19. A good deal with patients and patients and mutual respect with colleagues.
  20. Perform any other duty in the scope of the JD per the need and when asked for it.
  21. Knowledge of national and international nutrition and health guidelines and protocols.
  22. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with partners.
  23. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive and respectful of local norms.
  24. Commitment to humanitarian principles, equity, and gender-sensitive approaches.

Job Requirements:

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant postgraduate clinical experience, preferably in primary health care, nutrition, or maternal and child health.
  • Experience working in outpatient settings with nutrition components is desirable.
  • Training in BPHS/PHC, IMNCI, reproductive health, immunization, and nutrition management preferred.
