Job Description:

  • To be responsible and to ensure that the data management system is functional and available in all levels of HFs and field office.
  • To produce timely, accurate, reliable, and sufficient data/information and ensure the information is used for action and improvement of quality services.
  • To be ensured that the data verification system is available and to avoid data discrepancy and submit verified data to the main office/ MoPH;
  • To provide constrictive and accurate written feedback to HFs on monthly HMIS reports.
  • To conduct at least 15 supportive supervisions from FHs per month.
  • To check and verify the data at field level (quality, accuracy, consistency);
  • To assist supervisors/officers in the planning and implementation of the program.
  • Ensure that all relevant staff are aware of the project’s annual work plan (as approved in the contract);
  • To ensure the m-supply system in functional and work properly
  • Ensure that progress against project key indicators are updated on a monthly basis at the provincial office and HFs;
  • To conduct slide presentations to all sub-office co-workers at least once per month on data quality, (Findings,  Challenges, Suggestions,)
  • To closely supervise the project key indicators versus set targets monthly basis and makes sure effective action plans are developed to achieve project targets both at the provincial office and HF level.
  • To ensure that data quality improvement and NMC checklists are implemented in each HF once per quarter.
  • To ensure that the data verification checklist is implemented once per month per HF.
  • To establish/maintain an easy-to-access and meaningful filing system and record-keeping in HFs
  • To establish/maintain the data tracking system of main activities/indicators to systematically measure the progress.
  • To identify staff that needs on-the-job training and perform on-the-job training and support to the health facilities staff.
  • To develop a monthly supervision plan and conduct supportive supervision visits from HFs.
  • To provide written feedback on m-supply and HMIS data, achievement against targets, and; availability of BPHS/EPHS listed equipment in HFs.
  • To participate in in-charge monthly meetings and present data quality presentations to bring improvement.
  • To keep records of all data quality improvement documents including backup;
  • To check the HMIS stationery and formats at the health facility level.
  • To provide and submit on-time mission/activity reports to his/her line supervisor.
  • To be ensured that each HF under his/her supervisory list is visited at least once per month.
  • To perform any other official task assigned by the line supervisor and Head Quarter team.

Job Requirements:

  • Afghan National
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics or related field with at least 5 years’ experience. Experience in m-supply or managing data in health supply chain would be an added advantage
  • Be able to travel all districts/health facilities as well as outside of province
  • Priority will be given to local candidates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language and fluent in a local language;
  • Demonstrate computer skills (Ms. Office Package).
  • Ability to work under pressure, flexible and able to multi-task,
  • Ability to create a supportive working relationship with all project teams
