Job Description:
Objective of the Position
The Integration Assistant will support the social and economic reintegration of graduated vocational program clients in their respective province by:
- Facilitating job placements with local businesses and employers.
- Linking clients with business opportunities or companies seeking skilled workers.
- Assisting clients in starting small businesses through market research and resource connections.
- Promoting clients’ vocational skills within local markets.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify local employers and businesses in the respective province that align with clients’ vocational skills (e.g., tailoring, carpentry, mechanics).
- Assist graduated clients in preparing resumes, practicing interview skills, and applying for jobs.
- Conduct outreach to local markets and businesses to promote the skills of graduated clients.
- Facilitate connections between clients and local suppliers, microfinance institutions, or tool providers.
- Monitor and follow up with placed clients to ensure job retention or business sustainability.
- Report weekly to the Integration Officer in Kabul on activities, challenges, and outcomes in the province.
- Participate in training or capacity-building sessions organized by YHDO.
- Ensure gender-sensitive approaches to support female graduates in accessing opportunities.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or job placement.
- Familiarity with the local market and employment landscape in the respective province.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dari/Pashto; basic English is an asset.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.) for reporting and documentation.
- Resident of the respective province (Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, Kandahar, or Farah).
